Reflection

Yes people, I hope you are all well! This is my final blog before Christmas break, and I am going to be reflecting on my semester, specifically the workshop I took part in for Digital Economy, in college.  For anyone that has been reading since day 1 (I know who you guys are) you would have seen different topics that I touch on week on week. These were the same topics that I studied in class. I found blogging about the topics afterwards enabled me to learn more and retain what my lecturer spoke about.  We were faced with the challenge of preparing and executing a workshop for our class. This began with us making a group of five. Firstly, we learned what a Gantt Chart was, and created our own. This showed a breakdown of the different parts of the project we each did and if it was individual work or team work. I found it really satisfying to see the different pieces of it come together.  Our topic for the workshop was "Enterprise Applications" and we were the first group up...

Companies that used Enterprise Applications successfully to support their business strategy and business model.

Hi guys, welcome back to this week's blog!

ERPs, or enterprise applications, are now crucial to developing and sustaining contemporary business strategy. These reliable systems provide seamless integration, effective data management, and process improvement. Let's take a closer look at three businesses that deliberately used ERPs to strengthen their business models and improve operational effectiveness.

This supports Coca-Cola's business strategy of global expansion, by assuring effective operations in various areas. SAP ERP real-time insights supports brand diversification and the launch of new goods, to address consumer's ever changing demands.

3. Unilever:

Business Strategy - A sustainable living plan and incorporating sustainability through every faucet of the company. The main objective is to lessen the impact on the environment, enhance social cohesion, and promote responsible consumerism.

ERP System -
SAP ERP

Software Provider - SAP HANA

This has helped streamline supply chain activities, leading to higher productivity. Unilever's push for sustainability is enhanced through tools that track and manage environmental and social impacts of their operations. ERP modules unlock effective financial administration while guaranteeing compliance and transparency. Adaptability of enterprise applications allow Unilever to tailor the system to different business units and regions. Applications help to boost innovation along with resource allocation, and real time insights facilitate data-driven decision making.

Overall, enterprise applications contribute to overall efficiency, initiatives and strategic decision making, when implemented correctly as seen in these examples.

Thanks for reading and make sure to tune in for my blog next week.

Jack.
